How MLF Tech Support Limited handles personal information received through this website and by email.
The website itself does not collect information through forms, cookies or analytics. If you email us, the information you include is handled as described below.
1. Who is responsible for your information
MLF TECH SUPPORT LIMITED is the controller of personal information covered by this notice. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 16681925. Our registered office is 30 Lyons Gardens, Hetton-le-Hole, Houghton le Spring, United Kingdom, DH5 0HL.
Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to info@mlftech.org.
2. Information we may receive
When you contact us by email, we may receive your name, email address, organisation, role, telephone number if you choose to provide it, and the contents of your message and subsequent correspondence. Please do not send sensitive or confidential information unless it is necessary and appropriate to do so.
Our hosting provider may process standard technical request information, such as an IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser details, in server logs used to deliver and secure the website. The site does not use that information for advertising or behavioural tracking.
3. Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use enquiry and correspondence information to understand and respond to your request, communicate about possible or existing work, keep appropriate business records, protect our systems and establish or defend legal rights.
Depending on the context, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business and responding to genuine enquiries; steps requested before entering into a contract; performance of a contract; or compliance with a legal obligation. We do not rely on consent unless we specifically ask for it.
4. Who we may share information with
We do not sell personal information. It may be processed by service providers that support email, website hosting, file storage, professional advice or other business operations, subject to appropriate arrangements. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or in connection with a business reorganisation.
5. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we expect an applicable lawful transfer mechanism or other recognised protection to be used. Details relevant to a particular processing activity can be requested by email.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to an enquiry, managing a business relationship, meeting legal or accounting requirements and resolving disputes. The period depends on the nature of the information, the relationship and any applicable obligations.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis used, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or to object to particular processing. These rights are not absolute and exemptions may apply.
To exercise a right, email info@mlftech.org. We may need to verify your identity. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office through ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.
8. Security
We take proportionate organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure, so please consider the sensitivity of what you send by ordinary email.
